While making an auto follow tool, I encounter something where it logs me out, and redirects me to a captcha page, to prove im not a bot, so how do they detect I am a bot in the first place, and any ideas to get around this? I managed to get the template to click follow etc, and also pause, the pause is random then loops back to click follow again.

Perhaps it checks whether the mouse is moved or not

More likely they checked your useragent and ip. Are you randomizing your useragent and or using an anonymous proxy?

No, well its my account, so the ip would be the same as when I log in normally...

what i have experianced on many sites is that biggest issue is when your template works too fast, so i now always make them work slower in order to get better success rate. I see you have used pause, so other thing that comes up in my mind now is something that might sound weird, but trust me, it is not first timer, this is just one more issue that i noticed on some sites :-) So what i was thinking of is using focus/onfocus before click.
I can not promiss that this will solve your problem...try and see ;-)
