How to Check a DropDown box contains how many categories.?

Hi there,

I need to check a dropdown box contains how many categories before i selecting a category...B'caz sometimes dropdown box contains only 1 category but i recorded in template to select 2nd category that times seems error..:confused:..some websites have (blank) category in 1st position so i unable to select 1st postion...And some websites have a blank category or empty category...so i need to check whether a dropdown box contains how many categories..

Is there any options for this.?

I would go with HtmlElementCollection class of C#. So it wold be easy to get them all.
