Have you disabled Download prompt on windows vista/ie9?

After failing at passing the link through a script, and failing at passing the link through a program, I failed at passing the page through a script that was embedded on an internet webpage because ZP brings up a window asking me to choose between saving the file and opening it. I looked up IE9's settings and there's no option in this version to actually erase the prompt mechanism. Unlike I am told there was in IE8. Shall I just erase IE9 and hope it's there in IE8???
