Difference between proxy types

Hi all,


I just tried the demo of proxy finder, it has a very nice GUI, beautiful.

My question is, what is the difference between http, sock 4 and 5 proxies please?

What are the best? Do the proxy checker also make sure they are all working?

Do proxies die each day of the list you gather can last a few weeks usually?

If you use public proxies (free ones) they are not stable. Most of them slow and can die within minutes. Most of them don't live for long time
