Hi
What is the best way to handle email verification?

Do I add it into the project as a step or would I be better off creating a separate project for it to be run later?

I am unsure for a few reasons:-

I know it can take minutes for email to arrive.

It would be better to use the same proxy for the email verification. I guess this is easier to do if the email verification is done within the project and not as a separate task.

I did not get any answers but now I have a couple more hours with the app, I can tell you what I have found.

You are fine to do the email verification within the project most of the time. ZP offers some good options in setting timeouts, using ; in fetching mail. Checkout http://help.zennolab.com/en/v3/zennoposter/index.html?validation.htm for all the detail.

Also, I was using the multi dot method with gmail. If you try to use gmail's pop3 you will have problems (seems to work just the first time of access then not again until you re-enable pop with gmail). A way around this is to forward your gmail to a private domain and access the confirmation emails from there using pop.

Seems that twitter is wise to the multi dot method with gmail now - shame.

Hope this helps
