How to simulate the Ctrl-A (Select all text) command?

I am working on a template and need to select all text from a text field and delete it and replace it with my own custom text. I've used the search by picture to have the cursor appear inside the text box. All I want to do is select all of the text inside the box and then delete it. How can I do this?
