PC for zennoposter

Hi

I have zennoposter lite but i want to buy zennoposter pro. My computer is quite old ( Pentium 4 2.4ghz, 1.5gb ram) and i want to buy PC dedicated for zennoposter, but i dont know what pc performance will fully support my internet connection (20mbit/0.5mbit) to get maximum number of threads. Can someone give me advice about best PC performance?

Also i would like to know if zennoposter support multi core processors and what os is best for zenno?

I've a portable pc with Intel centrino and 4 gb ram and it works fine. Used with max 3 threads simultaneously with any problems.

Thanks for reply, but i'm interested in pc performance for larger number of threads (40-80).

I have an i7 930 @4 gHz (air-cooled) with 6GB ram (will double that next week).
I can run roughly 50 threads before ZP gets flakey. My bigger problem is my network connection, only 3000 kbs, so with too many threads IE gets constant hickups (dnserror_diag dll something). Nowadays all of my templates watch for that errormessage after pageload and instantly drop a malfunctioning instance. Since I must assume, it will happen in the middle of a template, my templates save their states often and carry on with the schedule with the next instance.
And I heayily reduced the proxy checker threads. That way I can still run a decent amount of threads.

Go with i7 second generation processor at least with 8gb upgradeable to 16gb rams on window7 if you want 50 - 80 threads. I'm on i7 2630QM @2gHz 8gb rams and can do 35 easily and i have not tried up to 50 threads as my internet connection is low here, for this it's useless for me to scale up my threads. Mine upgradeable to 16gb but no point atm unless i upgrade my line speed.

Budget under 1,500 $ I'll use it only for office stuff (mainly to make it manage multiple virtual machines to run seo tools etc...)

Where are you located? US? Cause everybody seems to buy at Newegg in the US. I'm in Germany, so I can't buy at Newegg, but have to buy at our local companies.
