How does Execution Result Feeding work?

Hi

I still cant figure this out!
In theory when you play it back in Debugger, it shows you the right execution result, so it can be fed to the next line of macro right?

This is what I did
Set variable basedirectory to c:\mydocuments\

Pull line 1 from sometext.txt, which contains lets say directoryZ

When I play that back, yes it works, it shows result of directoryZ. Execution result is {-FieldData.FieldData-|-?6?0?4?4?2?7?-|-=5=0=9=0=6=5=6=2=3=-}


But when I make the next macro which is {-Global.Get-|-basedirectory-}{-FieldData.FieldData-|-?6?0?4?4?2?7?-|-=5=0=9=0=6=5=6=2=3=-}

It wont show that result!

I also tried and gave up on using an execution result to do an IF statement.
If executionresult=thistext, that sort of thing.
