How can i make a logical counter for number of attempts ?

i'm using sms service and alot of number don't work, so what i want to do is after getting to 3 bad number for an action to go to another route and choose another country ! for this i need a function that will count the attempts like if this is the third attempt go this way not that way . sorry if my writing explanation is confusing here is screen shot and below is the video of what i want to do
