Get 1 string from a file based on a regular expression match

At the moment it is possible to read 1 string from a file based on a regular expression match but its not possible to read and remove it at the same time.

Currently it is possible is to read and remove all strings or a random string or a one string if you know the line number. Could we have one more option for removal, delete on regex match.

That would be very useful.
