Find and delete a line in a TXT with regexp

How can I find a line and then delete it in a text file with a regex for wxample a user thoteebesbei198.*

1. take a block of text with removing
2. use regexp macro to change found text on empty.
3. add result to the file

Thanks, it saves the line but the whole original file gets deleted
